Each month, Mohonk bartenders compete to create a specialty craft cocktail for the resort. They are given one key ingredient, or theme, which must be featured in their seasonal creations. November’s theme was fall foliage! A select group of lucky Mohonk employees get to taste, discuss, and vote on the winning “Cocktail of the Month,” which can be enjoyed by guests in the Carriage Lounge among a variety of hyper-local draft beers and New York spirits. This month we selected two winners because both were so good!
Maple Spice Madras
A fall holiday twist on a classic.

1 oz Alpenglow Vodka
1/2 oz Ancho Chile Liqueur
1 oz Maple Spice Syrup
1 oz Cranberry Juice
1/2 oz Orange Juice
Shake and pour into a highball. Top with Prosecco. Garnish with an orange wedge.
Warm up with the cocktail that has all three colors of the foliage season.

1 oz Alpenglow Vodka 1/2 oz CRANBERRY JUICE
1/4 oz Lime Juice
1/4 oz Maple Syrup
3 oz Sparkling Wine
Shake over ice. Strain into a flute glass. Top with sparkling wine. Garnish with an orange twist and a sprig of rosemary.
