A slow breath and alignment focused vinyasa class, the emphasis of which is postural alignment. We will incorporate the stabilizing muscles of the hips, abdomen and side body as we slowly move through classic yoga postures.
A class focusing on strength and alignment using your breath and your body weight to discover, refine and increase your ability to move with more ease and confidence. Depending upon the conditions, we will incorporate the beautiful natural surroundings that Mohonk has to offer in our pursuit of wellness. On occasion, dumbbells, jump ropes and other accessories will be used in the class.
Brisk hike along Cope’s Lookout Path, Humpty Dumpty Road, Long Woodland Drive, and Lake Shore Road. This hike is moderate to fast pace over relatively flat terrain with gradual uphill portions. Approximately 3 miles. Age 7 and up. Proper footwear is required: sneakers or hiking boots.
A class incorporating yoga postures and other body weight modalities to improve breathing, balance, flexibility and strength. Warm up followed by continuous movement lead to specific instruction on arm and leg stances that require strength, stamina and balancing skills.
Learn the ancient form of meditative exercises to restore and balance the natural flow of life energy. Ages 16+. Classes limited to 24 participants. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes prior to start of classes.
Take a guided ride of the mountain on wheels! Ages 16 and up. Approximately 4-6 miles. All levels welcome. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time to get fitted for a bicycle. Additional fee of $30 for this activity includes mountain bike and helmet.
Adapting movements borrowed from several Tai Chi/Qigong traditions, this class emphasizes releasing tension bound joints and connective tissues. Ages 16+. Classes limited to 24 participants. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes prior to start of class.
Please join one of our Mohonk staff for this fun and challenging survival skill. Up to 25 people. Ages 13 and up. Closed-toe shoes required. All participants must go through a 15 minute safety protocol at the beginning of the session. This cannot be repeated if missed.
A breathing meditation based on the rhythms of nature. Ages 16 and older. Classes limited to 24 participants, first come first serve. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes prior to start of classes. No late admittance.
