Mark Sherman is a gifted humorist, who’s written for the New Paltz Times for more than 25 years. He’ll share humorous insights he’s gleaned from his own life as a child, father, husband, writer, psych professor, and incessant observer of anything that has funniness potential.
A moderate intensity yoga class with continuous movement that brings a connection between movement and breath. Enhances flexibility, balance and awareness. Ages 16+. Classes limited to 24 participants. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes prior to start of class.
Brisk hike along Cope’s Lookout Path, Humpty Dumpty Road, Long Woodland Drive, and Lake Shore Road. This hike is moderate to fast pace over relatively flat terrain with gradual uphill portions. Approximately 3 miles. Age 7 and up. Proper footwear is required: sneakers or hiking boots.
Throughout PAINT OUT!, a pop-up gallery will showcase works by all participating artists. Works produced on each plein air day will be exhibited in the Lake Lounge and made available to purchase. You may even bid on select works through a silent auction. Wired Gallery was established in May 2012 with the mission to show works by Mid-Hudson Valley artists. Find tranquility, strength and flexibility by taking traditional yoga postures and practicing them in a shallow pool. No yoga or swimming experience necessary. Ages 16+. Classes limited to 24 participants. Please arrive 5 to 10 minutes prior to start of class.
Join an Activities Staff member out on the range for hands-on introduction to archery focusing on safety and basic target skills. Ages 13 and up. Limited to 25 people. All participants must go through a 15 minute safety protocol at the beginning of the session. This cannot be repeated if missed.
Take a guided ride of the mountain on wheels! Ages 16 and up. Approximately 4-6 miles. All levels welcome. Please arrive 15 minutes prior to start time to get fitted for a bicycle. Additional fee of $30 for this activity includes mountain bike and helmet.
