Each month, Mohonk bartenders compete to create a specialty craft cocktail for the resort. They are given one key ingredient, or theme, which must be featured in their seasonal creations. For February’s Hot Chocolate Month, this month’s key ingredient is: chocolate. A select group of lucky Mohonk employees get to taste, discuss, and vote on the winning “Cocktail of the Month,” which can be enjoyed by guests in the Carriage Lounge among a variety of hyper-local draft beers and New York spirits.
Chocolate Basil Affogato
Enjoy this beautiful cocktail after a lovely meal. The espresso and chocolate vodka provide warmth to balance the cool of the basil ice cream.

Ingredients
1 large scoop of basil ice cream
1-3/4 oz espresso
1-1/4 oz Van Gogh Dutch Chocolate Vodka
Method
Put ice cream in coffee cup. On the side, mix espresso with vodka and pour over ice cream. Enjoy!
