Whether you seek the challenge of steep trails over boulders and cliffs or prefer a relaxing stroll along carriage roads, you’ll find your path on the private property of Mohonk Mountain House. There are 85 miles of winding Hudson Valley hiking trails to experience, ranging in difficulty from beginner to advanced. To prepare for your day of hiking, we recommend brining a packed meal, bottled water, rain gear, and a headlamp.
Daily passes must be purchased online and are valid (7am to dusk) for the day purchased. Hikers must arrive at the Gatehouse prior to 3pm and can stay until dusk. Please be prepared to show your email confirmation to the Gatehouse attendant upon your arrival. Your hiking pass grants access to the Gatehouse parking lot and there is a two-mile trail walk in each direction between the parking lot and the central grounds. If you prefer an experience with less walking, please consider a spa appointment, dining reservation or sports pass, which will grant you access to the upper parking lots. Please note a hiking pass does not include access to the interior of Mohonk Mountain House.
Please note, we do NOT permit bus groups.
Our hiking parking lot is unable to accommodate full sized buses, including charter and school.
