Monday
The Music of Thelonious Monk

Thelonious Monk‘s music is both deceptively complex and full of playful elements. A favorite of jazz aficionados, children and everyone in between, Monk was unafraid to toy with a fun, simple melody; nor did he shy away from making brilliant harmonic innovations. Drummer Jeff “Siege” Siegel (Adjunct Professor of Percussions, SUNY New Paltz) and bassist Rich Syracuse (Professor for String and Electric Bass Studies, Skidmore College, Hotchkiss School, and SUNY New Paltz) to round out this trio of dynamic artists join pianist Vinnie Martucci (former Chair of Music, SUNY New Paltz) to bring Monk’s music to life.
Tuesday
Marka Young presents Celebrating Mozart

Presented by the versatile violinist Marka Young, alongside cellist Jeanne Fox and pianist James Fitzwilliam, bring to life Mozart’s works. Marka Young, Assistant Concertmaster of the Hudson Valley Philharmonic and esteemed soloist, curates a program that not only features Mozart’s masterpieces but also works by his contemporaries such as Franz Joseph Haydn, Marianne von Martinez, and opera composer Christopher Willibald Gluck. Join us for an evening of exquisite chamber music, highlighting Young’s exceptional talent and her dedication to bringing classical music to life, as evidenced by her performances at prestigious venues like Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, Banff, and her role as an Adjunct Artist at Vassar College.

This New York born, Nashville based singer performs a range of material steeped in the American traditions of jazz, blues, and country. Her vocals reveal a vast variety of influences, ranging from Billie Holiday to Patsy Cline & from Edith Piaf to Karen Dalton.

Singer Songwriters of the 80’s

New York-based cabaret artist and entrepreneur Lauren Fox teams up with Scott Chasolen, multi-instrumentalist and vocalist from the acclaimed Pink Floyd tribute band, The Machine, for a mesmerizing performance spotlighting the musical icons of the 80’s. Join this dynamic duo as they take you on a nostalgic journey through the era’s unforgettable hits and timeless melodies.
Frank Viele and the Fallout

Experience the electrifying stage presence of New England’s own Frank Viele, a two-time New England Music Award winner renowned for his soulful blend of blues and rock. With his powerful vocals and heartfelt storytelling, Viele’s performance promises an unforgettable experience, cementing his reputation as a standout in the Americana music scene.

Women and the Blues

Pianist Pete Malinverni and vocalist Sage Myers come together to celebrate some of the courageous women of the 20th century who used The Blues as an artful and beautiful expression born of their hope in the face of unique struggles, such as Sister Rosetta Tharpe, Dinah Washington and Nina Simone, among others.
Sivan Arbel

Sivan combines poignant songwriting, modern rhythmic language, and fiery improvisation. She playfully layers her artistic expressions with her love for jazz and other diverse musical influences grounded in her Israeli roots and global travels.

John Newhall Trio

The Hudson Valley’s own John Newhall has doubled down on his guitar-centric, singer-songwriter style and is already making a splash in the genre. His unique vocal delivery paired with his intently focused songwriting leaves listeners with a truly one-of-a-kind experience.
Tiempo Libre Bohemia

Ambassadors for Cuban music around the world, six-time GRAMMY-nominated music group Tiempo Libre makes their return to the Mohonk mountaintop. Tiempo Libre is celebrated for its sophisticated tropical music featuring an irresistible, exhilarating mix of jazz harmonies, contemporary sonorities and seductive Latin rhythms. In 2024 and beyond, Tiempo Libre continues to uplift and inspire audiences worldwide with their scorching hot performances to eager and adoring audiences.

Music from a Row Boat

Scott Robinson, legendary Jazz multi-instrumentalist best known for his work on multiple saxophones, will present a solo performance . . . from a row boat on Mohonk Lake. Find a spot around the lake to sit, listen, relax, and enjoy as Scott plays some beautiful selections to match the scenic beauty.

Three of San Francisco’s musical finest, all affiliated with the San Francisco Symphony, present a salon program of light classics, contemporary musical theater, and more all in Mohonk’s Victorian parlor. Featuring Marc Shapiro, piano, and flutists Robin McKee and Tim Day.
