Step into the heart of our Latin American Celebration weekend, where you are invited to join the fiesta and traditions. Experience themed cuisine, rumba and salsa dance instruction, a tequila tasting, and more! The celebration unfolds with the Latin rhythms of Tiempo Libre Bohemia, salsa in Puerto Rican and Cuban styles with Fleur Seule, Luzia Castañeda’s art exhibition, and a captivating performance from the Veritas Dance Company. Even our Kids Club will offer a variety of piñata, maracas, and Ojos de Dios crafts.

Luzia Castañeda Art Exhibition
4pm – 6pm
Blending her Brazilian and Spanish roots in a warm and welcoming studio setting, Luzia Castañeda debuts her first Art Exhibition on the mountaintop. Following a successful showcase at the Queens Botanical Garden last year, she revisits the theme of healing leaves and delves into the Afro-Brazilian Orixá myth of Ossanhe, inviting you to join a celebration of nature and spirituality in this immersive experience.
Three-Course Latin American Dinner
5:30pm – 8:30pm
Led by Executive Chef Jim Palmeri, our culinary team has curated a three-course menu featuring Latin American cuisine for Friday and Saturday night only! This dinner can be enjoyed in our Main Dining Room.
Tiempo Libre Bohemia

Ambassadors for Cuban music around the world, six-time Grammy-nominated music group Tiempo Libre makes their debut on the Mohonk mountaintop. Tiempo Libre is celebrated for its sophisticated tropical music featuring an irresistible, exhilarating mix of jazz harmonies, contemporary sonorities and seductive Latin rhythms. In 2024 and beyond, Tiempo Libre continues to uplift and inspire audiences worldwide with their scorching hot performances to eager and adoring audiences.

Dance Class: Rumba and Salsa

Emerging from Cuban influences, the vibrant salsa and romantic rumba are some of the most popular Latin dances practiced worldwide. Learn the foundational skills and polish off your steps with dance instructor Laurie Shayler.

İNoche de baile! with Fleur Seule

Debuting at La Marqueta in el barrio Spanish Harlem, Allyson Briggs “La Rubia” has expanded her performances to Tavern on the Green, Lincoln Center, and San Juan, Puerto Rico. Because of her commitment to maintaining classic salsa’s presence in New York City and Puerto Rico, she was awarded Taino Nation Female Entertainer of the Year 2022. Come dance to her stellar band (Fleur Seule) and their renditions of salsa hits, made famous by Celia Cruz, Hector Lavoe, Willie Colon, and more! Tonight will be an evening of primarily classic salsa in both Puerto Rican and Cuban styles, with some selections including cha cha, mambo, and rumba.

Veritas Dance Company presents “Memorias”

“Memorias,” a lively dance performance by Veritas Dance Company, brings to life the childhood memories of Argentina. With dynamic choreography blending tradition and innovation, the dancers capture the spirit and joy of family in Argentina’s cultural heritage.
