Mixology: My Big Fat Greek Spritzer Cocktail Recipe

Each month, Mohonk bartenders compete to create a specialty craft cocktail for our New York lake resort. They are given one key ingredient, or theme, which must be featured in their seasonal creations. The key ingredient for July was “Otto’s Athens Vermouth” cocktails. A select group of lucky employees got to taste, discuss, and vote on the winning “Cocktail of the Month,” which can be enjoyed by guests in the Carriage Lounge among a variety of hyper-local draft beers and New York spirits.
Abe Kim’s My Big Fat Greek Spritzer
The “My Big Fat Greek Spritzer” is a refreshing cocktail that takes you away to a sun-drenched afternoon by the Adriatic.

Ingredients
1/2 oz. Lemon Juice
1/2 oz. Honey Syrup
1/2 oz. Hendricks Gin
1/2 oz. Lillet Blanc
1/2 oz. Otto’s Vermouth
Prosecco
Cucumber and Dill
Method
Muddle dill, cucumber, and honey. Add alcohol, shake, and double strain into a champagne flute. Top with Prosecco and garnish with a cucumber wheel and a dill sprig.
