Lauren Donohue, our new Social Sales Manager, provides a handy list of tips for all those who like to hit the ground running.
#1 You’re on Top of the World!
You must hike to Sky Top Tower and take the hundred steps to the top. The view puts the AWE in awesome. Try getting there through the Labyrinth rock scramble for a strenuous but rewarding experience that’s one of a kind.
#2 Find Your Bliss on the Lake
Leap off the diving board at the beach or try the daily lake swim this summer. Or just let your stress glide away as you paddleboard, kayak, canoe, or row your way across our lake in the sky.
#3 Adventure Time
Archery or tomahawk throwing will change a teen’s bored eye rolls into a great big grin. Younger kids can try disc golf in the woods or see our Children’s Garden—past years featured ice cream and dinosaurs.
#4 Private Time – Together!
There are so many ways to bond as a family. You can stay in your own private hideaway in the luxurious Grove Lodge. Or you can reserve a private horseback or carriage ride, guided hike or rock climb, or a private campfire with s’mores. We also offer group activities such as Build a Bike for charity or competitions like our Cardboard Regatta.
Lauren Donohue, our new Social Sales Manager, focuses on family reunions and milestone celebrations. She’s worked at the Mountain House for six years, most recently as our Conference Planning Manager handling gatherings and get-togethers for families and corporate groups.
