Each month, Mohonk bartenders compete to create a specialty craft cocktail for the resort. They are given one key ingredient, or theme, which must be featured in their seasonal creations. This month’s theme was “Buckwheat Whiskey” cocktails. A select group of lucky Mohonk employees get to taste, discuss, and vote on the winning “Cocktail of the Month,” which can be enjoyed by guests in the Carriage Lounge among a variety of hyper-local draft beers and New York spirits.
Strawberries From Krakow
You can feel a little bit of bitterness, sweetness, and a lot of pleasure, just like being in the middle of the square in Krakow.

Ingredients
2 oz Buckwheat Whiskey
3/4 oz Peach Liqueur
3/4 oz Apple Juice
1 oz Lemon Juice
1/2 oz Simple Syrup
3 dashes of bitters
3 Strawberries
Method
Muddle strawberries with simple syrup. Add the rest of the ingredients and shake with ice. Double strain into a Martini Glass and garnish with a strawberry.
