Do I need to make an appointment at the Spa?

Yes, we recommend that you schedule Mohonk Mountain House spa services and private instruction 2 – 3 weeks in advance in order to better secure a treatment time most convenient to you. Reservations are subject to availability and must be guaranteed by a credit card. To speak with one of our spa coordinators, please call 877.877.2664. Within the Mountain House, please dial extension 2751 from any House phone.

I am not an overnight guest. Can I still use the spa?

Day visitors are warmly welcome to enjoy spa treatments and private instruction, based on availability. Please note that overnight guests receive priority for appointments, particularly on weekends and holidays. The fitness center and indoor pool are reserved exclusively for overnight guests. We invite day guests to explore our Spa Treatment Pass.

Should I arrive early for my spa appointment?

Yes. Please arrive at least 30 minutes before your service. Arrive early to enjoy our spa amenities such as our relaxation verandas, solarium, outdoor mineral pool, steam room, and sauna. Late arrival will, unfortunately, preclude receiving the full time for your treatment.

What if I need to cancel my spa appointment?

Please call 24 hours in advance if you need to change or cancel your appointment; otherwise, you will be charged for the service. Appointments missed without the 24-hour cancellation notice will result in a 100% charge for reserved services.

What is your cell phone/electronics policy?

To encourage our guests to disconnect, preserve our tranquil environment, and guest privacy, we do not allow the use of electronic devices such as cell phones, cameras, and iPads while in the spa and salon areas. We ask that these devices be turned off and secured in your locker during your spa visit.

Do I need to tip my service provider?

We have inclusive service rates. We wish to advise you that there is no need for you to offer gratuities.

Can I book a spa appointment for my child?

Guests must be 18 or older for massage and body treatments; facials and salon services are offered to guests age 16 and up.

Please note that any guest under the age of 16 needs to be accompanied by an adult in the pool area.

What should I bring to my spa appointment?

To enjoy the amenities of the spa wing, you are invited to bring your bathing suit. Complimentary use of our spa robes, sandals, and lockers is provided for all spa treatment guests. We suggest guests not bring jewelry or other valuables to the spa. Unfortunately, we are not able to take responsibility for valuables that are lost
or left at the spa. The spa and fitness facilities are alcohol and smoke-free environments. Food and food service are not permitted nor provided in the Spa, fitness center, or pool areas.

Do you work on Gel, Acrylics or Shellac Nails?

We service only natural nails. We do not remove gel or shellac polish.

What should I wear during my spa treatment?

Our staff is trained in proper draping designed to ensure modesty and comfort throughout the service. However, if you are more comfortable, you may wear undergarments for your treatment. Disposable undergarments are also available upon request.

I am pregnant. Can I still book an appointment?

Please inform us when scheduling your appointment so we may assist you in selecting the most appropriate treatment. Based on the recommendation of professional physicians, we do not provide massages during the first trimester of pregnancy. Our team will be happy to recommend alternative treatments and curate a safe, soothing experience tailored to your needs.

Are food and drinks available?

For your convenience, we offer complimentary herbal or black teas to enjoy in the verandas or solarium before and after your spa services. Bringing personal food or drink into the spa is not permitted.
