Guests at Mohonk can enjoy outdoor ice skating in the Hudson Valley during the season. Glide across the ice on our award-winning skating rink, perched high above the lake in our outdoor, open-air Pavilion. In between skating sessions, warm up with a hot chocolate in front of our impressive 39-foot-tall stone fireplace.

The Ice Skating Pass includes:
- 90 minutes of Ice Skating in our Outdoor Ice Skating Pavilion overlooking Lake Mohonk

- Parking at the Picnic Lodge
Important Notes & Policies:
- Ice Skating is weather-dependent, and a photo ID (ex. driver’s license) is required for all equipment rentals.
- The Ice Skating Pass does not give guests access to the Mountain House. This includes Gift Shop, Carriage Lounge, Mohonk Spa, Fitness Center, and indoor pool.
- Pets are not allowed on our private property.

Ice Skating for Spa and Dining Guests
Have an appointment at our Spa or a dining reservation in our Main Dining Room? You do not need a reservation at the rink!
Meal and Spa guests may pay a per-person equipment rental fee for our winter activities directly at the Ice Skating Pavilion.

Is there a different price for children?
There is no difference in pricing for children.
Can I reserve a private lesson?
Yes! Please call 845.256.2775 to schedule a private ice skating lesson.
Is there a separate fee for Meal, Spa, and Guests of guests?
Meal and Spa guests are welcome to skate at any session for an additional $28 per person per session. You do not need a reservation at the rink.
Are there skating chairs available?
Yes, we currently have four chairs available for guest use.
Do you provide Ice Skates?
Yes, this is included in your Ice Skating Pass. Skates are available at the Skate Shop next to the Pavilion.
When will you start selling passes?
Ice Skating is available, weather depending, from November through April.
Will guests have access to buy food when they enter the Mohonk Mountain House?
Yes, the following places offer food and drinks:
- The Gift Shop – Open Daily 8:00 a.m.-10:00 p.m. Purchase light snacks, hot and cold beverages.
- Carriage Lounge – Open Daily 12:00 p.m.-11:00 p.m. (hours of operation subject to change) Reservations not required. First come, first served. Light fare available 12:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.
- Main Dining Room – Open Daily. Reservations are required & limited. Call (877)317-0241 to reserve.
What can I do in the Mountain House?
- Visit our Gift Shop and Greenhouse Shop.
- Attend Tea and Cookies 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m. daily.
- Visit our Barn Museum on Wednesday, Saturday & Sunday, 9 a.m.-4 p.m.
- Please Note – All other scheduled activities are reserved for guests with a Stay Experience.
Are pets allowed at Mohonk?
No, pets are not allowed at our Upstate New York resort.
