Embark on a Hudson Valley Winter Getaway
All-season Activities at Mohonk
Mohonk Mountain House is a remarkable Hudson Valley winter resort. The lake freezes over, the trees are covered with a gentle blanket of snow, and the woods take on a serene silence. Spend the day exploring our spectacular natural acres, then warm up with complimentary afternoon tea and cookies.
Located in The Pavilion, our award-winning ice rink is open from Thanksgiving to late March. Enjoy recreational skating or exciting games such as broomball on the 9,375 square foot refrigerated rink. In between sessions, warm up with a hot chocolate in front of an impressive stone fireplace.
Our Skate Shop provides overnight guests with ice skates free of charge, and special activities will be scheduled throughout the season.
For additional information about ice skating, please call (845)256-2775.
Explore more than 30 miles of groomed trails with sweeping views of the Catskills. Our Ski Shop provides overnight guests with skis at no charge, as well as maps and tips on what trail is best suited to your skill level. Ski alongside the lake, head for Sky Top Tower, or choose one of the many other trails that honeycomb our property.
Instructional lessons are available for an additional fee; please call ahead for instructor availability.
Snowshoes make everything more accessible and provide the perfect Hudson Valley winter getaway! Get to the places you can’t reach by skis for some great views and outdoor exercise. Our ski shop has snowshoes, maps, and attendants who can advise you on trail conditions. Snowshoes may also be used to play disc golf during the winter, weather permitting.
For additional information about snowshoeing and updated trail conditions, please call (845) 256-2101.
Fun for the whole family! Take snow tubes out to the golf course for an exhilarating ride. Shuttles run from the Mountain House to the tubing hill when the weather is perfect for tubing. Please note we do not make our own snow.
Join us for a themed weekend – there will be specialized entertainment, music, demonstrations, tastings, presentations, and workshops focusing on a particular theme. Programs available during the winter include:
