Upstate New York Snow Tubing

Where will the snow tubing hill be located? The top of the hill is on a portion of ‘lower’ Eagle Cliff. It crosses over Copes Lookout Path and the landing area is on the Athletic Field.

Is there a height or age limit? Yes, the minimum height that is permitted to participate in snow tubing is 36”. The
child must be able to sit independently in the tube.

How big will it be? The hill ‘run’ is approximately 260’, 140 on the hill and 120 of runoff. The elevation change from the top of the hill to the landing zone is 37’

Are we making our own snow to operate the hill? Yes, we will be making our own snow to initially create the snow tubing hill. We do hope we have snow provided by Mother Nature throughout the season. In the event we don’t have a very snowy season we will rely on our snow-making equipment to refresh the hill.

Is this recreational offering going to be an additional fee? No, it is included in the overnight rate.

Will it be open to Day Guests? At this time we do not anticipate being open to the public for our inaugural
season

Will there be lanes and how many will there be? Yes, there are currently 3 lanes.

Is there any required paperwork to participate in the activity? Yes, guests will still be required to fill out a Winter Sports Assumption of Risk Form. 

Will there be child and adult-size tubes? Yes, there are 31” and 41” hard bottom tubes available.

Can guests bring their own tubes or sleds to use? No, guests are only permitted to use Mohonk Mountain House issued
equipment.

Will you have helmets? Yes, we will have helmets of various sizes available. 

What will the hours of operation be once you open? We anticipate hosting sessions. 10:00 a.m.-12:30 p.m. and 2:00 p.m-4:00 p.m.

Can guests go on their own time or is the hill only accessible during those hours of operation? No, guests will only be permitted to use the hill during scheduled session times.

How will we know when the scheduled times are? Please refer to the Daily Activities Schedule for session days and times. 

What is the anticipated end of the season for the snow tubing hill? We are anticipating keeping the hill open through the first week in March. This being our first season – we do anticipate being flexible when needed to best accommodate our guests if the weather cooperates.
