Located on Copes Lookout Road near the Tennis Courts, the Mohonk Sports Center is your starting point for outdoor recreation and adventure. Whether you’re heading out for a guided Via Ferrata experience, reserving a tennis court time, renting a mountain bike, or picking up equipment for disc golf, our Sports Center makes it easy to get outside and explore.
Designed as a central hub for recreation, the Sports Center also offers comfortable indoor and outdoor gathering spaces where guests can relax between activities, along with grab-and-go refreshments and a curated selection of athletic apparel and outdoor essentials at Mohonk Outfitters.

Reserve time and enjoy one of our courts just steps from the Sports Center. Guests can play on four Har-Tru clay courts, two hard courts, and three new pickleball courts. Equipment is available on-site, making it easy to grab a racket and hit the court. Private lessons are also available.
Wheelworks
The Sports Center is home to Wheelworks, your destination for mountain bike and e-bike rentals. Choose from self-guided adventures or join one of our guided mountain biking excursions through miles of scenic carriage roads and trails. Rental equipment, helmets, and ride information are all available at the Sports Center.
Via Ferrata & Pinnacle Ledge Tour Experiences
Challenge yourself on an adventure like no other with our Via Ferrata, offering a blend of rock climbing, cable traverses, and aerial staircases for an unforgettable journey through the stunning landscapes of the Shawangunk Mountains.
For a more moderate adventure, the Pinnacle Ledge Tour combines historic footpaths, rock scrambling, and an aerial sky bridge while showcasing breathtaking views.
Casual Recreation
Looking for a relaxed afternoon outdoors? Pick up equipment for a round of disc golf, enjoy a game of basketball on our nearby courts, spend time at the playground, or play classic lawn games like Bocce or Shuffle Board.
Refreshments & Retail
Unwind while enjoying ready-made light fare and a selection of local canned beer, wine, and cider available for purchase.

Winter Adventures
When snow blankets the mountaintop, the Sports Center becomes the starting point for winter recreation. Guests can pick up equipment for cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and hiking with microspikes before exploring Mohonk’s scenic winter landscape.
