Kids’ Club at Mohonk Mountain House

Mohonk Kids’ Club is a complimentary drop-off program for ages 4-12 based on the philosophy, “Let kids be kids”!  The program is designed to include plenty of playtime while exploring the natural wonders and beauty of Mohonk.

Featured in Vogue, our Kids’ Club is a safe and engaging environment with plenty of age-appropriate activities. Parents can have complete peace of mind while their kids are having as much fun as they are — or even more while they explore the mountains or relax in the Spa on their own.

Hours of Operation

Morning, afternoon, and evening sessions will be available on weekends and holidays year-round.

The Kids Club will be open daily starting June 15.

9:30am – 12:30pm (Ages 4 – 12)

2pm – 3:30pm (Ages 4 – 12)

7pm – 8:30pm (Ages 4 – 12)

HOW TO SIGN UP

Upon check-in at the Front Desk, you will receive a Registration form and Kids’ Club Activities Schedule. Please complete both sides of a registration/release assumption form for each child who will be enrolled in the Explorers, or Adventurers program, prior to your child’s attending his or her first session. A counselor will review the form and help you enroll your child in his or her first session. If any child has special needs, please provide written instructions for the staff on the registration form. For subsequent sessions during your stay, parents need only bring the child and sign the enrollment form; no further paperwork is necessary.

Please note that registration is limited. Hours and special activities for the day are posted on the Main Bulletin Board located near the Central Stairs.

PROGRAM STRUCTURE

The Mohonk Kids’ Club is tailored to meet the special interests and needs of our young guests. For the summer, this program is divided into two age groups: Explorers (ages 4 – 6), and Adventurers (ages 7 – 12). Our program also offers a choice of morning, afternoon, and evening sessions for all ages, so that parents and children may be flexible in planning their day.

Mohonk Kids Club Nature Walk

JUNIOR NATURALIST

Integrated in our award-winning Kid’s Club, kids ages 5 – 12 will enjoy a hands-on experience with nature through walks to the Lily Pond, animal tracking, tree identification, and more with the Recreation team & our onsite naturalist Michael Ridolfo. Kids will dive into Mohonk’s natural world with fossil hunts, animal and plant identification walks, and arts projects where they can illuminate their discoveries.

The Junior Naturalist Program was created by Michael Ridolfo to help inspire children with a love and appreciation for the Earth.

Adventurers: Ages 7 – 12

The Adventurers’ Program was created to cater to the needs of our older Mohonk children. Guests ages 7 – 12 have the opportunity to explore their own interests and skills. Activities made available to the Adventurers may include rock scrambling, clay beads, fossil hunts, tennis clinics, kite and paper-making, and sports tournaments.

Adventurers are also welcome to join in the Explorers afternoon session. In addition, on a daily basis, the Adventurers’ own suggestions will be incorporated into the schedule in response to their varied interests.

Can I Participate With My Child?

Each morning and afternoon session begins with a half-hour “get-acquainted period.” This is a time for parents, nannies, baby-sitters, and children to become familiar with the Mohonk Kids’ Club environment. It is also a time for our staff to get to know your child and for parents to get to know the staff who will be leading their children throughout the session. Parents are welcome to stay for the first half-hour of each morning and afternoon session.

However, at the end of each get-acquainted period, we ask that parents leave their child with our capable staff, allowing new friendships to be made as children gain a sense of independence.
