To ensure the health and safety of our guests and staff, Kids’ Club will not be operational this summer as it requires co-mingling of children from various travel parties. For more information, please visit

Kids’ Club at Mohonk Mountain House

Based on a philosophy that “lets kids be kids,” the program is designed to include plenty of playtime while exploring the natural wonders and beauty of Mohonk.

Featured in Vogue, Kids’ Club is a complimentary drop-off program for ages 2-12. Our First Aid and CPR certified staff provides a safe and engaging environment with plenty of age-appropriate activities. Parents can feel at ease exploring the mountains or visiting the Spa on their own.

If you have any ideas, questions, or concerns, please call the Children’s Supervisor at (845) 256-2170. We value your input!

Structure of the Program

The Mohonk Kids’ Club is tailored to meet the special interests and needs of our young guests. For the summer, this program is divided into three age groups: Tykes (ages 2 – 3), Explorers (ages 4 – 6), and Adventurers (ages 7 – 12). Our program also offers a choice of morning and afternoon sessions for all ages, and evening sessions for ages 4 – 12, so that parents and children may be flexible in planning their day.

During the spring, fall, and winter, children are put into two groups to start: ages 2 – 3 and ages 4 – 12, and then grouped according to their interests and abilities.

Hours and Registration

Upon check-in at the Front Desk, you will receive a Registration form and Kids’ Club Activities Schedule. Please complete both sides of a registration/release assumption form for each child who will be enrolled in the Tykes, Explorers, or Adventurers program, prior to your child’s attending his or her first session. A counselor will review the form and help you enroll your child in his or her first session. If any child has special needs, please provide written instructions for the staff on the registration form. For subsequent sessions during your stay, parents need only bring the child and sign the enrollment form; no further paperwork is necessary.

Please note that registration is limited. Hours and special activities for the day are posted on the Main Bulletin Board located near the Central Stairs.

Can I Participate With My Child?

Each morning and afternoon session begins with a half-hour “get-acquainted period.” This is a time for parents, nannies, baby-sitters, and children to become familiar with the Mohonk Kids’ Club environment. It is also a time for our staff to get to know your child and for parents to get to know the staff who will be leading their children throughout the session. Parents are welcome to stay for the first half-hour of each morning and afternoon session.

However, at the end of each get-acquainted period, we ask that parents leave their child with our capable staff, allowing new friendships to be made as children gain a sense of independence.

Evening Program: Ages 4 – 12

7pm – 8:30pm

Every night mid-June through Labor Day and many weekends and holidays throughout the year, we provide a complimentary evening activity for our overnight guests ages 4 – 12. Participants in our evening program meet in the Council House, and most events are programmed for the group.

Evening activities may include Ice Cream Sundae Socials, twilight hikes, theme dance parties, movie night, or special entertainment such as storytellers, music, and animal and insect programs.

When available, the Children’s Buffet and the Dinner Buffet are ideal allowing parents to feed their children dinner before dropping them off for the Evening Program, allowing parents to enjoy a relaxed three-course dinner on their own or indulge in a spa treatment.
