Since our founding in 1869, wellness has been an essential part of the Mohonk experience. We carry that tradition forward today through our refocused and revitalized Wellness Weekend, set in our natural landscape.
Curated by our Director of Mindfulness, Nina Smiley, Ph.D., and Director of Spa, Margaret Lora, this weekend welcomes you to experience “moments of choice” through a personalized discovery of all that it means to establish wellbeing.

FRIDAY, FEBRUARY 2

Wellness Weekend Welcome
4:30pm – 5pm
Begin the weekend and pick up your wellbeing “be well bag”, sign up for the variety of classes, and meet some of the program leaders including Nina Smiley and Margaret Lora, guiding you through a weekend of wellbeing.
Strong Start: Yoga and Mindfulness
5pm – 6pm
A blend of flowing Yoga poses to relax and restore your body and mind. As this session ends, Nina will guide you in a way of being mindful that will support your personal moments of choice throughout this weekend of discovery.
Pool-side Serene Sounds – Singing Bowls*
8pm – 9:15pm
Gathered around the warmth of our indoor pool, this breathing meditation focuses on harmonics, inviting us to be present in the moment as we reclaim well-being. As we continue our focus on immunity, Nina returns for a bedtime meditation to conclude our evening. *Please note: sign-up is required for registered overnight guests 18 years of age or older. Space is limited.

“Forest Bathing”: Mindfulness In Nature

The term “forest bathing” or “shinrin-yoku” has been used in Japanese writings and research to describe the sense of well-being that comes from being outdoors immersed in nature. During Mindfulness in Nature, Nina will guide you through wooded trails, alongside timeless cliffs, and around our crystal-clear lake. Embrace your senses with this unique experience to fend off the “winter blues” and maintain a positive outlook while strengthening your immune system.

This clear-mind, calm heart meditation with Yin Yoga and Aromatherapy will conclude your Cold Immersion that brings focus back to immunity.
Your Inner Immunity: Winter Sky Yoga
8pm – 8:45pm
Join us for unique and intimate outdoor evening event that combines the crisp winter air with the calming ambiance and warmth of fire and flickering candles. Unwind, stretch and connect with your inner self as you flow through a gentle yoga session under the canvas of the winter sky.
