“Lyme: The First Epidemic of Climate Change”

Local Archaeology: The Huyler Rockshelter

Doctor Joe Diamond explores 8,000 years of Native American habitation in the region. Tonight’s presentation focuses on the Huyler Rockshelter, an archaeological site which was discovered to contain oysters well below the surface, suggesting that native populations may have collected oysters here long ago.

Relax, enjoy a beverage, and explore your creative side with our resident painting instructor. Follow simple steps and choose from two options to make paintings that pair together or stand out on their own. No previous experience required, ages 13 and up.

Come listen to the vocals of Meghan Mahaney who has performed in theatres across the North East including the Tri-State Actors Theatre, the Summit Playhouse, the Sussex Performing Arts Center, the Paramount Theater, and the Triad Theater. Meghan will be accompanied by pianist, choir director, and Mohonk’s very own Anthony Cecconie.
