Tomahawk Throwing
Join us in the great outdoors for this fun and challenging survival skill as Mohonk staff teach you how to throw a tomahawk.
For ages 13 and up, 40 person limit, with closed-toe shoes required. All participants must go through a 15 minute safety protocol at the beginning of the session, which cannot be repeated if missed—so be sure to join us right on time. Located at the Archery Range on Copes Lookout Path.
Live Music on the Boat Dock with Tamarack
Enjoy an evening of lively music and a few dances from the U.S. and around the world with live string music by Tamarack. Fun for families, couples, and individuals alike, this band will feature instruments including fiddle, banjo, flute, whistle, and guitar.
Outdoor Barn Movie: Frankenstein
Free popcorn with an outdoor movie in the courtyard of our historic Barn Museum is a great way to finish up the perfect summer day. Join us for a must-see classic monster movie from the early age of horror. This iconic film follows the obsessed scientist Dr. Henry Frankenstein (Colin Clive) as he attempts to bring his monster to life. Not Rated. 71 minutes, 1931.
Campfire with S’mores with Live Music by Vickie Russell
Vickie Russell sings fun songs around the campfire on a classic summer evening, featuring great family fun with “s’more” of our favorite gooey treats!

Crafting with Mini Dream Catcher Kits
Pick up a DIY dream catcher kit at the Guest Relations office, to make on your own or help your little one.
Labor Day Weekend 5K
Stretch your legs on this fun family event where you can set the time but we set the distance. Register on the day of at the Information Summerhouse across from the Boat Dock to receive the suggested route. The race ends and begins at the Information Summerhouse. Join us at one of the most beautiful places you’ll ever run. All participants who complete the race will be rewarded with a medal.
Classic Summer Corn Hole Challenge
Warm up your arm and steady your aim as you play our corn hole challenge. Up to 4 people per team.
Summerhouse Hunt
Track down select Mohonk Summerhouses as you explore our amazing landscape and take pictures along the way. Please bring a smart phone or digital camera to participate.
Ready, Aim, Archery!
Join an Activities Staff member out on the range for a hands-on introduction to archery focusing on safety and basic target skills. Ages 13 and up, 25 person limit.

Live Music with Soul City
Enjoy the music of Soul City as they play Motown, R&B, Soul and Disco from the 1960s to the ‘80s, featuring hits by the Jackson Five, The Supremes, Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder, and many more.
Classic Drive-In Movie: The Princess Bride
One of the classics of the ‘80s, The Princess Bride is a classic comedy-adventure featuring a farm boy-turned-pirate who encounters obstacles, enemies, and allies in his quest to be reunited with his true love. 98 minutes. Rated PG, 1987.

Humming Toy Craft Kit
Pick up a DIY humming toy at the Guest Relations office—it’s part toy/part craft and fun for all ages. Make it here and bring it home as a special Mohonk memento.

Your team will be constructing the perfect ‘egg module’ to protect your precious cargo. Put on your thinking cap as you design, construct, and prepare to test out whether your egg survives!

Live Music with the After Five Jazz Combo
The After Five Jazz Combo led by Jason Clinton, is an energetic group of talented musicians that perform throughout the Hudson Valley. Come listen to great Jazz, Swing, and even some Rhythm and Blues.
Outdoor Barn Movie: Dirty Dancing
Join us for free popcorn and an ‘80s classic of dance and romance in the courtyard of our historic Barn Museum. Dirty Dancing chronicles a summer vacation in the Catskills as Frances “Baby” Houseman falls in love with the resort’s dance instructor Johnny Castle. Rated PG-13. 100 minutes, 1987.
