Kevin will be our guide as we explore some of the masterful blends of wines in the Hudson Valley. The creators of these wines, ciders, and spirits will be on hand to provide tastings and items for purchase including Brotherhood Winery, Whitecliff Vineyards, Quartz Rock Vineyards, Angry Orchard, Robibero Winery, and more!

A French Cuisine Dinner

Led by Executive Chef Jim Palmeri, our culinary team has curated a specialty menu featuring a French-inspired appetizer, entrée, and dessert. This menu can be enjoyed in our Main Dining Room.

Live Music: Tatiana Eva-Marie

The Parisian jazz scene of the 1930s and 40s inspired the music of Tatiana Eva-Marie and the Avalon Jazz Band, when Django Reinhardt and Stéphane Grappelli made emblematic sound popular. Tonight’s music showcases the American standards popular in France during that time period, along with the songs of French composers influenced by a new sound called “jazz”, made popular by Yves Montand, Jean Sablon, and Charles Trenet, among others. In addition to these classics, Tatiana and the Avalon Jazz Band also performs original music, offering their own vision of what contemporary swing can be, blending their francophone culture into their American experience.

Windows on the Wine and Food Revolution: 1970-2020 A 50-Year Perspective

Back in the 70s, Americans preferred martinis and manhattans over wine, but today the United States is the number one consumer of wine in the world! Join Kevin for this entertaining and informative lecture.

Renowned wine expert Kevin Zraly leads you on a tasting journey through France. You’ll taste eight different wines as you learn about wine styles and develop your own taste, and discover details about acidity, tannin, oak, and fruit. Kevin leads the way with stories, myths, and tantalizing tales of wine from the various regions of France.  After the wine tasting, join Kevin for a reception with a curated menu of hors d’oeuvres presented by the Mohonk Culinary Team.  This will also be your chance to purchase a signed copy of Kevin’s bestselling wine book, Windows on the World Complete Wine Course.

*Note: Pre-registration with overnight reservation is required. There is a $75 per person program fee for admittance to the wine tasting. Space is limited. Persons under the age of 21 may not attend the wine tasting.

Copilot is a Rock-Pop band from Boston, Massachusetts.
