Dating back to its 1810 origin in Munich Germany, we debut the mountaintop’s first Oktoberfest! Beginning with our Tapping Ceremony and Cannon Commencement, this weekend of funfair puts forth a full display of Bavarian and German culture. Highlights include music, local breweries, Hillby the Skinny German Juggle Boy, and let us not forget the schnitzel, wurst, and spätzle.

The Parade of Breweries*
4pm – 6pm
Explore some of the best purveyors of beer in the Hudson Valley. Alongside brewers, we welcome wineries and distilleries from the Shawangunk Wine Trail for a taste too! * No Fee. Must be 21 years old and have a valid ID to taste.
The Tapping Ceremony & Cannon Commencement
5pm
Usher in this weekend’s fanfare with our tapping ceremony, led by brewmaster James Walsh of Yard Owl Brewery. Make sure to grab a drink as we welcome Tom Smiley to fire Bert Smiley’s cannon in conjunction for our first Oktoberfest!
Hilby, the Skinny German Juggle Boy

Comedic-juggler Hilby presents a powerful and spellbinding collage of superb technical skill and wacky comedy in the tradition of vaudeville. One cannot help but be charmed by Hilby’s impeccable timing and extreme circus skills. You can find him on top of Unicycles of all shapes and sizes, manipulating objects ranging from bowling balls to hedge trimmers. This hilarious and thrilling show is not to be missed!
