Wonderful World of Words: Jargon is Gatekeeping – Why the Best Words are Always the Simplest

Words allow for a special communication, so general that all can understand, but with the power to be incredibly specific. The latter characteristic can be used to illuminate, but just as easily to exclude and limit who can participate in a conversation. So how do we find the perfect balance between the two so words are things used for sharing, not hoarding.
