Guided Hikes/Snowshoe Tours

Take a guided tour of the scenic hiking trails with a Mohonk staff member. Tours are available in the morning and afternoon each day.

House History Tour

Perfect for first-time guests – a member of the Mohonk staff will give you a brief history and tour of the house and facilities. Check our Daily Activities Schedule for tour starting locations.

Barn Museum Tour

Mohonk’s Barn Museum displays an extensive collection of antiques, all used at one point at Mohonk Mountain House. Located next to the stables, the museum is open daily 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. from Memorial Day Weekend through the end of October; Saturday and Sunday 10:00 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. between October and Memorial Day weekend.

Blacksmithing Demonstrations

Discover the techniques and skills used in the art of blacksmithing. Demonstrations are given regularly at the Barn Museum.

Garden and Greenhouse Tour

Observe the beauty of the gardens as a member of the Mohonk gardening team regales you with the history of the gardens. Available year-round as scheduled.

Evening Hikes

Allow a Mohonk staff naturalist introduce you to the wonders of nature at night.


Dinner and a movie! We screen a different movie every night, choosing between classics, family films, romances, holiday flicks, and more.

Campfires with S’mores

Throughout the summer and fall season, campfires are regularly scheduled on the banks of Lake Mohonk or in the Pavilion. In addition to s’mores, enjoy sing-alongs or a storyteller.

Ballroom, Square and Contra-Dancing

Live music gives you a reason to take a whirl around the dance floor!

President’s Week

The week of President’s Day, kids ages 12 years and younger can stay and eat free!


Enjoy Easter activities for the whole family – crafts, dancing, nature programs, evening entertainment, and a morning Easter Egg Hunt accompanied by our very own Easter Bunny! Have your photo taken with the Easter Bunny then partake in our Easter Grand Buffet Luncheon. During this time Kids Stay and Eat Free!

Mother’s Day

Spoil Mom with an indulgent getaway – spa treatments, family time, and of course, the Mother’s Day Grand Buffet Luncheon.

Memorial Day Weekend

Begin the season at Mohonk Mountain House! Enjoy a classic summer weekend during our Memorial Day Getaway that will leave you with memories for the years to come. In addition to all our regular activities, we’ll be offering campfires with s’mores, a family cardboard regatta, a pie-eating contest, a softball game, wacky relay races, and a fishing derby!

Father’s Day Weekend

Treat Dad to an exciting getaway at Mohonk Mountain House. Spend time together during the many activities we offer throughout the weekend such as Father’s Day Jeopardy, Tomahawk Throwing, a cardboard regatta on Lake Mohonk, and much more.

Fourth of July

Celebrate America with family activities, a parade, carnival, stunning fireworks, and create memories to last a lifetime!

Halloween Weekend

Mohonk Mountain House gets in the spirit of Halloween – our staff dons costumes and our resort is filled with eerie decorations. Over the haunted Halloween weekend we offer an array of ghoulish activities including a haunted castle, spooky stories around a crackling campfire, a pumpkin carving workshop, and hiking through spectacular fall foliage.


Enjoy a traditional feast at our annual family gathering, highlighting local ingredients.

December Holiday Season

Each December, we deck the Mountain House with seasonal decorations to get into the holiday spirit. Christmas trees grace the Mountain House and grounds, including a 60-foot Australian Pine with 1,500 LEED sparkling lights. We also feature Victorian swags, kissing balls, and intricate gingerbread creations.

On Christmas Eve, join us for the Yule Log Hunt and Smiley Family Trim-A-Tree party. On Christmas Day, a bountiful feast is served.

Join us for the lighting of the menorah every night during Chanukah.

New Year’s Eve

Each year we ring in the new year with a romantic dinner, live music, 2,000 balloons and a midnight buffet!
