Mindfulness at Mohonk: Weekend Programs to Change Your Life

Through her own personal experience and academic qualifications, including a Ph.D. in Psychology from Princeton University, Nina Smiley has created a series of mindfulness workshops including Mindfulness in Minutes!, Tame Your Pain!, and Diabetes Wellness Weekend, offered throughout the year.

Our 146-year-old Victorian castle resort in the heart of the Hudson Valley rests beside a glacially-formed lake surrounded by thousands of acres of pristine wilderness. In winter, discover our open-air ice-skating Pavilion and 35 miles of groomed trails for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing (weather permitting). Many of these exciting activities are included in your overnight rate, as are delicious meals. Breath~Body~Mind For Pain and Stress Relief

June 12-14, 2015 Dr. Richard P. Brown and his wife, Dr. Patricia Gerbarg, teach you how to dissolve your pain and your stress. In developing this workshop they have brought together three powerful practices: Breath~Body~Mind, Qigong movements to enhance circulation, and Open Focus Attention Training for pain reduction. Since pain is caused by numerous factors—physical, environmental, and psychological—it made sense to combine techniques to address all of the major components affecting our experience of pain.
