Cross-country skiing offers a great way to cover many trails of Mohonk's territory, weather permitting. Enjoy nature in her slumber, as the heavy snow-covered tree limbs and the sweeping views of faraway mountaintops provide a vista you'll not soon forget. Cross-country skiing at Mohonk provides great outdoor exercise for guests of all ages and abilities.
Cross-country skiing on over 30 miles of trails is complimentary for overnight guests. Our Ski Shop provides overnight guests with skis at no charge, as well as maps and tips on what trail is right for your level of ability. You can ski alongside the lake, head for Sky Top Tower with its breathtaking views, or choose from the many scenic trails that traverse the property. Day passes are also available. Cross country skiing is available on a limited number of trails. Another great day of spirng skiing! Almost twenty kilometers of trails open around the Mountain House.
Day skiing is available, day lot at the gatehouse is open. Frozen granular corn snow this morning, wet granular this afternoon. Temperatures will climb into the mid 50's today with a slight chance of rain.
The following trails are open or partially open: Huguenot trail, North Lookout, Whitney, Lake Shore, Home Farm, Eagle Cliff, Short Woodland, Humpty Dumpty, Cope's Lookout, Huguenot Drive, Skytop, Bridge, Forest Drive, Old Minnewaska, and Overcliff Road.
Groomers were out yesterday working on the following trails: Lake Shore Road, Huguenot Drive,Skytop Road, Short Woodland, Humpty Dumpty, and Cope's Lookout. Grooming of the trail system is finished for the season.
Ski and Snowshoe daily rental rates for the 2009/2010 Ski season are $20 for adults and $14 for children. Snowshoes are $16 for adults and $12 for children.
Day grounds passes are as follows: Midweek- $18 for adults and $13 for children under 12. Weekends and Holidays- $23 for adults and $18 for children under 12.
