Experience the transformative and restorative power of yoga with renowned yoga teacher Jillian Pransky! 
This joyful retreat is designed to help you explore and awaken your full potential.  Release tension and stress as you learn to cultivate a deep sense of relaxation that will rejuvenate your body, open your heart, and calm your mind. 

This weekend is appropriate for participants of all levels—
beginners are welcome.

Although there is no fee, space is limited, so pre-registration is required to participate in each class.


Mohonk Mountain House is a National Historic Landmark resort located just 90 miles north of New York City. Overnight rates include breakfast, lunch, dinner, afternoon tea and cookies, and most activities, including ice-skating in our Pavilion; cross-country skiing and snowshoeing (weather permitting); and use of the indoor heated swimming pool and comprehensive fitness center. We also feature an award-winning Spa that offers a variety of treatments, an outdoor heated mineral pool, and a solarium for relaxation and renewal.

Friday, February 19

8:30 p.m.  Deep Relaxation
Ease into your weekend with this soothing series of stretches and deep relaxation designed to release tension and prepare you for a fulfilling night’s sleep.  After some opening stretches, you will be led through a guided 20-minute deep relaxation. You’ll emerge ready to slide effortlessly and fully into this nurturing weekend. Please dress comfortably. All levels welcome.

 

Saturday, February 20

10:00 a.m.  Yoga to Rejuvenate and Reenergize
Revitalize yourself with this mindful sequence of slow-flowing yoga poses. Using deep breathing and fluid movements designed to increase circulation and build heat in your body, your energy will be lifted for the day. This class will focus on strengthening your foundation and core, while opening all the muscles involved in breathing. You will leave feeling strong, relaxed, and reenergized. All levels welcome, slow flow vinyasa.

4:00 p.mYoga to Relax and Restore
Come enjoy a blend of fluid vinyasa yoga followed by deeply rejuvenating restorative poses. You’ll begin with a series of warming grounded postures and lots of breath awareness. Then you’ll begin to relax deeply during restorative poses where emphasis is placed on melting away layers of stress, releasing tension from the body and mind.  Please bring two pillows from your room. All levels welcome.

Sunday, February 21

10:00 a.m.  Yoga for a Bright Body and Calm Mind
This full-spectrum class focuses on centering your mind, opening your breath, and charging your inner light. We will flow through a sequence incorporating rhythmic deep breathing, fluid strong poses, simple mindfulness meditation, and deep relaxation. You will leave in a state of relaxed alertness, feeling light and grounded. All levels welcome.

Program Leader

Jillian Pransky is Director of Restorative Yoga Teacher Training for Yoga Works nationwide, co-director of Bright Spirit Yoga Teacher Training, and leads programs at Kripalu, Omega, and other international venues. Known as a nurturing guide with uplifting energy, Jillian’s teaching focuses on bringing the practice of yoga and meditation into everyday life.

Jillian has been featured in Dr. Memhet Oz's video YOGA 101, as well as many magazines including Yoga Journal, Self magazine, Family Circle, and Kripalu magazine. She has appeared on CNN.

Her Relax More CD has garnered excellent reviews from many, including Dr. Memhet Oz, and is used in the healing program at the Heart Institute, New York Presbyterian Columbia University Medical Center.
