Diabetes Wellness Weekend
April 8-10, 2016
Join us at Mohonk Mountain House, a Victorian castle resort in the heart of the Hudson Valley, for a weekend that can change your life!
Our new program, Diabetes Wellness Weekend: From Menus to Mindfulness, offers a simple and effective approach to understanding type 2 diabetes and the small steps that can truly make a difference in your well-being. The goal of this weekend is to inspire you to take small steps that can lead to big improvements in your health.
- If you or a loved one has type 2 diabetes and are wondering what needs to change in your lifestyle...
- If you're confused by the information you've gotten and want some clarification and support…
- If you'd like to gain important insights and have fun at the same time...
This weekend is for you!
Within the inspirational setting of Mohonk Mountain House, our Diabetes Wellness Weekend will enhance your understanding of nutrition, food choices, and food preparation. In addition, you will have opportunities to explore a variety of physical activities at your own pace. And, since self-awareness is such a powerful tool for changing old habits, you'll learn how to apply mindfulness meditation techniques to reshape behaviors that do not support health.
Integrating cooking demonstrations, activities and discussion with time for you to enjoy the many pleasures of Mohonk Mountain House, this weekend presents a "Change Your Life Perspective" in a way that you can bring home and start using immediately.
Come join Chef Jennifer Stack, R.D.N., C.D.E. and Nina Smiley, Ph.D. this weekend and share their passion for delicious food, mindful moments, and simple steps that can help you achieve a life of good health, good food, and good living!
