Enjoy a refreshing swim in a beautiful and peaceful setting, or sun yourself on our beach or docks while enjoying the tranquil view. Supervised by lifeguards, lake swimming is available for overnight guests from Memorial Day weekend through mid-September. A popular summer activity is our lake swim, where guests can enjoy a supervised swim across the lake, from the swimming area to Open Camp. Please check the Daily Activities Schedule for details.

Slice through the water of beautiful Lake Mohonk in a rowboat, paddleboat, canoe, or kayak. Grab a good book or bring your fishing rod as you venture out into Mohonk's pristine glacial-formed lake.
Boats are complimentary to overnight guests and are available from mid-April through October at our Boat Dock.
Wondering where some of the finest fishing in the state is? Lake Mohonk is more than sixty-feet deep and a great place to catch the oversized trout that make their home beneath the surface. The trout in Lake Mohonk are so friendly, you can feed them off the dock. Every spring, Mohonk stocks the lake with brown and rainbow trout, in preparation for the busy season ahead. You will be amazed at the size of the beautiful fish that flourish in sparkling Lake Mohonk. Fishing equipment, rods, and bait are conveniently available for purchase at the Boat Dock.

Learn to fly fish with an expert teacher on your next fishing vacation. Fly fishing is the art of fishing using a rod, reel, line, and a lure specifically designed to resemble a fly and its activity. Bert Darrow author of Bert Darrow's Practical Fly Fishing , is available for individual and group fly fishing or fly casting lessons for overnight guests.
Bert leads participants through a program on choosing a fly rod, equipment selection, casting, and aquatic entomology. The emphasis of the program is on learning to cast. No hooks or flies are used during the lesson. Tips on more advanced casting techniques, such as double-hauling and slack-producing casts will also be covered.
Individuals may book sessions that include roll casting, false casting, and fishing on the lake. Bert will demonstrate the best fly fishing techniques to attract a fish to the artificial fly. Off-site excursions to local streams and rivers are also available with advanced notice.
