Minds can be very active—especially at three in the morning. Learn some simple techniques to quiet your mind and release the stress that’s keeping you awake. Discover how to set the stage for simple steps that will lead to sleep success!
10:00 a.m. - Mindfulness In Minutes: Relationships that Really Work!
Throughout the day, we are constantly interacting with other people—family, friends, colleagues…Discover how a mindful approach to relationships can lead to more skillful interactions. Change behaviors that lead to thinking “I wish I hadn’t said that” in one mindful moment at a time. We’ll also focus on your most important relationship—with yourself.
Saturday Afternoon - Time On Your Own!
Enjoy the spectacular outdoor setting of Mohonk Mountain House, take a swim in the indoor heated pool, delight in a spa treatment, take a nap…or do anything else you choose…Mindfully, of course!
5:00 p.m. - Mindfulness In Minutes: Self-Care
Dr. Aaron Warshawsky offers a special presentation on the art of Mindful Self-Care. Based on his 24 -year practice in dermatology, Aaron will describe simple ways in which we can use mindfulness to support our physical well-being. Integrating Mindful Self Care within our daily routine can be a powerful force in promoting health and preventing dis-ease as we focus on skin care, recognizing the importance of the largest organ of our body.
10:00 a.m. - Mindfulness in Minutes: Your Personal Journey
Aches and pains are part of life and there may be times when they seem to own us. Mindfulness techniques can offer the opportunity to “soften” around pain (emotional pain, as well as physical) as you learn to deal with it in a different way. This session is the time to ask the questions you may have about mindfulness.
And…you’ll have a special opportunity to learn David Harp’s Harmonica-based Mindfulness™ – a playful and joyous way to increase breath focus and bring mindfulness into your life. Includes a Mojo Deluxe Blues Harmonica. Absolutely no musical experience needed!
