Music on the Mountain
A fabulous week of music, featuring three concerts each day, from classical to contemporary, Broadway to jazz to pop, and everything in-between! A week long melody of musical days and nights.
Friday, September 6th
10:30 a.m. Violinist Yuri Kharenko
Enjoy some light classics performed by this renowned Russian concert violinist. Yuri Kharenko is a graduate of the Kiev Conservatory, where he taught violin before immigrating to the United States in 1991. Mr. Kharenko teaches at the Hartford Conservatory in Connecticut.
3:00 p.m. Diane Monroe/Tony Miceli Duo
This unique duo of violin and vibraphone provides an intimate look into the world of improvisation. Both artists hail from Philadelphia, and draw upon their collective experiences growing up in the ‘70s, with popular music, rhythm and blues, folk, jazz, and classical.
9:00 p.m. TriBeCaStan
This dynamic ensemble features unique interpretations of the world’s folk music using a wide variety of instruments.
