Ice-Skating
  • Glide across the ice on our award-winning 9,375-square-foot refrigerated ice rink. Warm up with a cup of hot chocolate in front of a 39-foot-tall stone fireplace.

The Pavilion is open for ice-skating from Thanksgiving through early April and is used for unique games like broomball during the winter season.

Open skating sessions welcome everyone with the opportunity to enjoy recreational skating. Our Skate Shop provides overnight guests with ice skates free of charge, and special skating activities such as broomball and curling will be scheduled throughout the season.

From ice-skating parties, skating lessons, and skating exhibitions in the crisp days of late fall, winter and early spring to outdoor receptions, entertainment, and group activities & teambuilding in warmer months, this open-air Pavilion hosts guests in all seasons.

Our annual Mohonk On Ice theme program held each winter has featured ice-skating greats such as Nancy Kerrigan and Oksana Baiul.

Disc Golf
  • There's a new game on the mountaintop—Disc Golf—available year-round and played with snowshoes in the winter months (weather permitting)! Think of regular golf, but subtract the clubs, balls, and holes. Instead, substitute a disc (similar to a Frisbee®) for the ball, and baskets (metal poles with chains over a basket-like middle) for the holes.

Players progress through the woods throwing a disc toward each basket. Wherever the disc lands becomes the starting point for your next throw, until you’ve hit the chains and the disc falls into the basket. Scoring works just like regular golf. Fun for everyone!

Our 18-hole course is open from dawn to dusk, year-round. Disc Golf is complimentary if you bring your own disc. If you don't have one, discs are available for purchase at the WheelWorks Bike Shop or at Guest Services. Great for tournaments or individual play!

If you are unfamiliar with this game, check out this short introductory Disc Golf video with our Director of Recreation Alex Sherwood.

Located on the Mohonk Golf Course, we invite you and the kids to have a blast as you slide down snow-covered hills with the wind in your face — an invigorating rush! Shuttles run from the Mountain House to the golf course snow tubing hill.
